Mainspring Replacement

We can replace your broken or worn mainspring quickly and efficiently.

Another common problem is that mainsprings over time become "set" which means they will not expand to their orignal size, and thus preventing your clock from running the duration of hours or days that it used to.

We use only high-quality parts to ensure long-lasting performance.

Pivot Hole, Bushing Repairs

Over time the pivot holes that the clock gears (arbors) rotate in will get worn and elongated. When this happens your clock will stop and need to have those holes repaired with new bushings put in place. Careful attention need to made to ensure the center of the holes line up with the original position.

Clock Movement Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance is crucial for the longevity of your clock. We use ultrasonic cleaners and will clean and inspect your clock to ensure it is in great running condition.

Oiling & Fixing Alignment Issues

A regular checkup may be all you need to make sure the oil on the pivots have not dried up or become contaminated.

Sometimes clocks may work, but are not striking in the correct sequence they should be or the escapement may not be aligned properly so that it can keep time properly. We can make the adjustments required to get your clock running normally again.

Simple Service – Inspection for wear, Spot Clean and Lube $100

Movement is in good shape, just needs periodic inspection and lubrication every 5 years.

Full Service (Inspection for Wear, Ultrasonic Cleaning, Lubrication and Regulation) - back in shop

American Time Only movement $200
American Striking movement $350
Carriage Clock (balance wheel) $350

Piecemeal Clock Work

Putting clock in beat, adjusting rate $ 60

Replace Mainspring $100 + spring

Basic Labor Rate $ 50 / hour

Minimum charge for estimates $ 40. (waived if service is agreed upon)

Quartz Clock Movement Replacement

Regular $ 50. + movement

Musical $100 + movement

Mechanical Clock Movement replacement.

When it is more economical for you to replace the whole modern German movement such as Hermle Clocks.

Cost of movement dependent on type of clock and brand. (varies from $350 to $2000)

Requires an evaluation and an estimate will be provided.

Warranty on new movements various from 3 to 5 years depending on brand.

House Calls

Minimum fee is based on the distance from the shop.

For Duval County it is generally $ 75.

For counties surrounding Jacksonville $125.

Anything further would need to be negotiated.

House calls cover both the pick-up AND re-delivery of the clock (if required).

For simple servicing, the clock may be able to be serviced in place the same day.
